 Making the connections Dish Network

Below is 1/2 of the backside, of a Dish Network VIP series receiver. (622, 211, 222.) There are only two places you can connect to these VIP receivers that will result in High Definition viewing. When you mouse over the HDMI input, you can click it to see the HDMI cable that goes in there. Likewise, move your mouse over the component cables, and you can click to see them. You MUST connect to one of these connections for High Definition! If you can't click it in the picture below, don't connect to it at home for HD video! (If you choose to use component cables,

HDMI Connection - click to see cable Component - use red and white, left, for audio

you will also need to hook up an audio connection. In this picture, the red and white connections to the left of the component cable inputs, or a digital Optical Audio cable, the green square.)

For complete rear view of 622, click thumbnail, below.

You have a right to an antenna!

The rule prohibits most restrictions that: (1) unreasonably delay or prevent installation, maintenance or use; (2) unreasonably increase the cost of installation, maintenance or use; or (3) preclude reception of an acceptable quality signal.

Q: Who do I call if my town, community association or landlord is enforcing an invalid restriction?
A: Call the Federal Communications Commission at (888) CALLFCC (888-225-5322), which is a toll-free number, or 202-418-7096, which is not toll-free. Some assistance may also be available from the direct broadcast satellite company, broadband radio service provider, television broadcast station, or fixed wireless company whose service is desired.
