Some other LNB Types
LNBs are broadly categorized into three types: 1. Legacy LNBs - Single, Dual, and Twin The word "legacy" is not a brand or specific type but refers to a previous, older but still in use system. Dish Pro and legacy do not mix, but Dish Pro Plus equipment is backwards compatible, but you can not mix legacy with Dish Pro or Dish Pro Plus LNB's. Backwards compatibility refers to a legacy receivers' ability to work with Dish Pro Plus LNB's. Legacy LNB's are identified by the absence of any marking or logo on the LNB. 2. Dish Pro (DP) LNB's - DPSingle, DPDual, DPTwin Dish Pro is identified by the Dish Pro logo on the LNB's. 3. Dish Pro Plus (DPP) LNB's - DPPTwin Dish Pro Plus equipment is identified by the Dish Pro Plus logo on the LNB.
Single LNB - One output, may be legacy or Dish Pro
Dual LNB - Two outputs, may be legacy or Dish Pro (DPDual)
Twin - (Legacy pictured-LNB has no printing or logo on the LNB), Twins may be legacy, Dish Pro (DPTwin), or Dish Pro Plus (DPPTwin)
